Shettihalli
Hello
& welcome to my blog mysterious facts & here I’m with another mystery
story.
This
is the church of Karnataka named ‘Shettihalli’ also called “The Drowning
Church”. This Gothic church was built in 1860 by the French missionaries.
Later, in the 1960s Gorur reservoir was constructed so that the water of the Hemavathi river is often utilized in a far better way. Subsequently, the fatal
accident during the method led to the submersion of around 28 villages around the
river flooding.
The villagers obliged and Rosary Church was left to fight it out with the water. Since then, Rosary Church submerges every year during the monsoons and resurfaces as the water levels recede. Battling the regular tests, Rosary Church now features a mysterious charm thereto and a replacement name – The Drowning Church. I hope you like my blog💓
