Haunted library

National Library

Hello & Welcome my blog mysterious facts & I’m here with another haunted story.

Nation Library in Kolkata

This library is located in Alipore; Kolkata built-in 1836. Before independence, it was the official residence of governor-general India named ‘Calcutta public library’. In 1953 government of India renamed it the “National Library of India”. It holds more than 2.2 million books.

There are several ghost stories related to this library, most famous of the sightings of a ghost that is believed to be the wife of the Governor who lived here. It is believed that the ghost of the wife of Lord Metcalfe roams the halls of the library. She was a stickler for putting things in place. So, the story goes that when people are reading alone in the library, they feel the presence of someone breathing down their neck, especially when they haven’t kept a book back where they took it from.

Another story claims that during some renovation work, a handful of the laborers died due to an accident and their ghosts have been spotted here ever since. According to another story, a student went into the library to complete his research work and never came out. No one knows what happened to him. Another student is rumored to have died here. People talk about seeing fading images and it is said that even the guards are skeptical about doing a night shift here. There are however no deaths or accidents related to paranormal activities reported so I guess the ghosts must be the peaceful ones.

Haunted Villa

Vas villa-St. Hello & Welcome to my blog mysterious facts & I’m here with another amazing mystery. This villa is located in St. marks road, Bangalore. Vas Villa was a collapsing old house, with a blue rusted Hillman Minx standing in front of the house gate. If one is to believe the stories, this house was built in 1943 by a certain E J Vas who was a reputable lawyer in Bombay High Court. He gifted the house to his two daughters who remained unmarried all their lives and lived in this house. Until 2002, everything was OK and it was just another house; but after that, this residence of two elderly ladies turned into a weed-infested derelict mansion; and gained a notorious reputation for being one of the most haunted houses. The people living near this house believe that there is something spiritual in this place, they hear some weird sounds coming from inside the house.  I  hope you like my blog 💓  Stay tuned for more interesting blogs

Waterfall

Eternal flame falls Hello and welcome to my blog mysterious facts & here I’m with another interesting and mysterious story. This waterfall, named 'Eternal Flame', is located behind a waterfall in western New York. Compatible with Native Americans, it has been lit for thousands of years. For many years, scientists thought that the eternal flame in New York was being weathered by the gas produced by ancient rocks that were extremely hot. However, researchers of Indiana University found that the rocks below are not hot enough to make gas; which implies that something else is keeping the flame safe and they are unable to find the important reason behind such an appearance.  Due to soil erosion, it makes the ground thicker and a hiker with roots is likely to slip. Rain can make the route slippery and dangerous. You can shine as much as possible in the flame, however, be careful about your safety as well. Eternal flames are highly contingent on melting water and rainfall. It is...
