Roopkund Lake

Hello & welcome to my blog mysterious facts & today I’m going to tell you about a skeleton lake.
Roopkund lake

The name of this lake is Roopkund, which is in Uttarakhand & counts as one of the most mysterious place. During the winter season, this lake is covered with snow. But when the summer season starts, the snow of this lake starts melting slowly and then there are many skeletons are seen in the lake.

Now let me tell you what is the reason for this skeleton lake. The skeletons present in the Roopkund lake were first discovered in 1942. It is present in a small valley in the Himalayas. It is 16499 feet high on the Himalayas. It is surrounded by snow and glacier from all sides. This lake is very deep. Its depth is about 2 meters.

Skeletons and bones

It was discovered by Ranger HK Madhaval of a Nanda Devi game reserve. When National Geography came to know about this place, he too sent one of his team here. His team discovered 30 more skeletons at this place.
This lake is a center of attraction for tourists. Many people come here for trekking and are amazed to see this view.

If one is to believe the stories, this house was built in 1943 by a certain E J Vas who was a reputable lawyer in Bombay High Court. He gifted the house to his two daughters who remained unmarried all their lives and lived in this house. Until 2002, everything was OK and it was just another house; but after that, this residence of two elderly ladies turned into a weed-infested derelict mansion; and gained a notorious reputation for being one of the most haunted houses. Waterfall

Eternal flame falls Hello and welcome to my blog mysterious facts & here I’m with another interesting and mysterious story. This waterfall, named 'Eternal Flame', is located behind a waterfall in western New York. Compatible with Native Americans, it has been lit for thousands of years. For many years, scientists thought that the eternal flame in New York was being weathered by the gas produced by ancient rocks that were extremely hot. However, researchers of Indiana University found that the rocks below are not hot enough to make gas; which implies that something else is keeping the flame safe and they are unable to find the important reason behind such an appearance.  Due to soil erosion, it makes the ground thicker and a hiker with roots is likely to slip. Rain can make the route slippery and dangerous. You can shine as much as possible in the flame, however, be careful about your safety as well. Eternal flames are highly contingent on melting water and rainfall. It is...
